Over $5000 raised at Pig Roast

It started with dedication to do something good. Donald Billings of Roots the Restaurant and Kevin Elneki of Earth Waste and Metal began with the attitude of giving something back to the community. They lead several business partners, community members and staff through the process of making a successful community Kick Start for Kids Pig Roast on April 30, 2013 to benefit Wonderfeet Kids’ Museum.

Long Trail Brewery donated beer, Radical Roots and Boardman Hill farms shared their produce, Foley Services provided linens, Baba-A-Louis baked corn bread, several of Roots’ distributors donated biodegradable paper products and Celebration Rentals donated a tent. Live entertainment was provided by local musicians and traveling exhibits for kids were provided by Wonderfeet.

The success of sharing quality food with the community and raising over $5000 in proceeds to benefit Wonderfeet certainly ended with doing something good.
