After careful consideration and consultation with the medical community, Wonderfeet Kids’ Museum has made the decision to close temporarily. The governor has extended the stay-at-home order until June 15. During this time Wonderfeet staff are creating unique ways for families and classrooms to stay engaged in imagination and STEM exploration. The museum is undergoing upgrades. And our staff is training on new safety and cleaning procedures. This will allow us to reopen knowing we have done everything in our power to provide you with the best, safest experience possible.
We do not make this decision lightly, as we know it affects our staff, the schools which had field trips and programs planned, families which had birthday parties scheduled, and the local families and outreach professionals who use our museum daily. But we believe this is what is best for our public good, both the children and families we directly serve and all those who come in contact with them.
We are in the process of rescheduling school visits and field trips and birthday parties schedule in the next few weeks. We are making plans to conduct our Wednesday morning parents group via Zoom. And we are conducting a thorough deep clean of all surfaces and materials while we are closed.
