As you know, COVID-19 has caused the cancellation of many events and threatened to close many local businesses and services. At Wonderfeet, we have tried hard to stay creative and adapt to the changes of this year in ways that continue to serve our community, kids, and families. With that in mind, this year, we are bringing our annual Lip Sync Battle Fundraiser right into your homes and onto your computers.Teams of local supporters have put together some amazingly entertaining performance videos for you. Please watch, share, and vote by making a donation under your favorite video. The winning team will be recognized with a Sponsor plaque in the museum and be invited to perform onstage at the Paramount Theatre for next year’s Lip Sync Battle. You can vote for your favorite video (or more than one!) by making a donation of any size. The team that raises the most money, wins! Voting will be active from Monday, October 12th through Sunday, October 18th. Check out the amazing performances by families, schools, and organizations throughout Rutland County.
Our goal is to raise $5,000 in donations/votes during the voting week. Thanks to the generosity of two local families, if we can meet that $5,000 goal, they will match it with another $5,000. If you have attended our Lip Sync Battle in the past, you likely paid $25-$30 for your ticket; please consider making a donation such as this that will directly support Wonderfeet Kids’ Museum. Last year, in addition to ticket sales, we were able to raise $5,000 in mobile donations during intermission – we know our community is up to the challenge again this year!
About the Museum
Throughout the years, and especially during the pandemic, Wonderfeet has strived to provide a safe and creative space for children and families to grow and learn together. As we’ve seen changes to our schools and opportunities available to kids, Wonderfeet has responded with flexibility and creativity to meet the changing needs of our community with new camps, educational programs, and opportunities for the social and emotional growth of our youngest citizens. You can see all of the work we’ve been doing this year right here.
