Tinker, create, and explore.
The 2nd Monday of the Month
September – June
9am – 2pm
Opportunity for homeschool families
A time for homeschool students to tinker, create, and explore science concepts at Wonderfeet Kids’ Museum. This school year the Homeschool Club will be exploring the broad topics of Animals (September – December), Astronomy (January – March), and Earth Systems (May & June). Each broad topic has been broken down further to be explored during each session. Financial Literacy is also integrated throughout the year and each session in various forms.
So far, this year we have investigated insects birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and astronomy!
April 8-11, 2019 – Geology Rocks!
Meet our “rock stars” – granite, slate and marble. From the Slate Valley of western VT to the eastern reef of Isle of LeMote and on to the marble in Proctor; rocks tell a story about our state and our community. Have you wondered what makes a rock a rock? April’s program explores this question, goes to the core of the earth, and unearths some of our planet’s rocky history.
The program takes place Monday, April 8th through Thursday, April 11th from 9am – 1pm. Thursday we will spend the day at the studio learning more about marble and its role in our community. We will also take a tour and participate in hands-on activities. The final day for sign up is this Friday, April 5th. Space is limited due to our field trip to the Carving Studio in West Rutland.
