Hands-on day camp for kids between ages 6 – 8. Campers will dig into our food system and learn about botany, microbiology, and chemistry all while exploring where food comes from.
Challenge of the week
To explore food, create a recipe and execute the recipe for a feast on Friday.
Come prepared to use your imagination and creativity.
Who: Kids between ages 6 – 8
Date: August 5-9, 2019 (Monday – Friday)
Time: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Location: Vermont Farmers Food Center, 251 West Street Rutland, VT 05701
Cost: $225 per student (Discount for Wonderfeet Members)
$50 deposit required
Instructors: Paula Townsend, Wonderfeet Kids’ Museum education coordinator and volunteer mentors.
The week has the potential to include a field trip. This would occur on Wednesday and parents will be responsible for the transportation of their child to and from the designated area. More information to come as we approach camp!
