That’s right, according to research, volunteers live longer due to a culmination of benefits discussed in the How to Volunteer as a Senior (link here) guide from The National Council for Aging Care. Although this guide is meant for seniors in our community, the benefits of volunteering are not exclusive.
Opportunities to Volunteer
Here are some ways volunteers can serve the museum: Events, Front Desk, Education Committee, Education Programs, Office, Birthday Parties, Maintenance Committee, Media, Fundraising
Regular Available Shifts
Tues, Thurs, Fri and Sat 9:45-1:00; 12:45-4:15
Program and Celebration Shifts
Parties, field trips and programs pending reservations and scheduling
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge of the Museum and our programs
Ability to move tables and chairs (when necessary)
